茎柔鱼是具有高度洄游性的中上层头足类,是生态系统中的关键物种,也是我国远洋渔业重要不要对象之一。了解掌握茎柔鱼摄食及洄游信息有助于对其资源进行更合理利用。头足类内壳是一良好的信息载体,生长发育具有不可逆性且生长贯穿整个生活史过程,从而可以包含头足类生活史过程中的全部信息。本研究通过分析秘鲁外海两尾茎柔鱼内壳连续切割片段的碳、氮稳定同位素比值,初步分析了其的生长发育过程中的食性转换和栖息洄游。结果显示不同群体的茎柔鱼个体存在不同的洄游路径,且在生活史周期中具有多次食性转换和洄游活动,而摄食习性并非完全随洄游活动而转变。

s a pelagic cephalopod, jumbo squids (Dosidicus gigas) play a major role in the marine ecosystems of the eastern Pacific. The isotopic signature of gladius proved to be a powerful tool to depict high resolution and ontogenic variations in individual foraging strategies of squids. In this research, with the objectives of studying the feeding ecology of jumbo squid through its life span and figuring out the migratory patterns of this species, the stable carbon and nitrogen isotopes of gladius profiles were investigated. The stable isotope values of gladius profiles of jumbo squids from the two stocks have different feeding habits and migration patterns and both squids had multiple dietary shifts and migrations through their life span. These results will be helpful for better understanding the trophic ecology of this strong economic and ecologically important species and the ecosystem-based management of this species in the future.
