HE STUDY OF APPLICATION OF GIS TO METALLOGENIC PROGNOSIS

When Geographic Information System (GIS) was applied to metallogenic prognosis, the traditional method system was changed, prognosis process was abbreviated, and the prognosis effect and efficiency were improved. GIS has become the best method for geologists to analysis geology information and to carry out metallogenic prognosis. GIS can be used in each metallogenic prognosis part especially in data acquisition and collation, spatial database building, spatial analysis, metallogenic prediction, and visualization expressing and exporting.
