he paper researches into the optimal point of industrial concentration and the corresponding company scale in general industry according to the double goal appealing of company and industry by uniting the industrial market demand curve and the company market demand curve and the company cost curve, reaching a conclusion as follows: The optimal point of industrial concentration and the corresponding company scale could be calculated by construction and analysis of the corresponding models, and the adjustment measures should be enacted according to the optimal point. In the end the paper takes a empirical study on our country’s iron and steel industry and reaches a conclusion as follows: the optimal concentration point of our country’s iron and steel industry is to keep 35 to 70 iron and steel companies in the whole industry and the optimal scale of iron and steel company is to keep 1.73 to 2.60 million tons.
