一种基于OpenCL的异构多核系统虚拟化研究原型平台的设计
prototype design for heterogeneous multi-core virtualization research based on OpenCL
由于深亚微米下功耗墙问题恶化,更高能效比的异构多核体系结构逐渐成为计算机系统与微处理器设计的主流设计模式。OpenCL作为一种异构编程框架,可以实现对多核CPU,以及众核GPU、CELL和FPGA等加速单元组成计算系统进行统一框架下的应用开发与任务调度。本文简要介绍了OpenCL的工作原理,总结了目前OpenCL的研究现状,在此基础上提出了一种基于OpenCL的泛异构多核系统虚拟化研究原型平台的设计方法。
SDue to the worse power-wall problem in deep sub-micro processing than ever before, Heterogeneous multi-core architecture, which provides better power efficiency, has become the main choice of the computing system architecture and microprocessor design. As a heterogeneous programming framework, OpenCL can be used to develop application and schedule the task in the computing system which is mixed-up with multi-core CPU, many-core GPU, CELL processor and even FPGA accelerator. Firstly, this paper provides the brief introduction of OpenCL operating. Based on the synthesis of current related research, this paper proposes the prototype methodology for the massive heterogeneous multi-core virtualization research.
