his paper briefly introduces the characteristics of two popular NC simulation and automatic programming software, with a specific example(model building and simulation machining of Five Angle Star ), discusses their on-line application process, and then achieves the whole process simulation operation which is from part modeling, process design, program generation to virtual machining, and provides an efficient check-up method of numerical control for programmers.
