his paper proposes how to design an wideband planar monopole antenna and how to improve the voltage-standing-wave-ratio (VSWR) of it, together with good radiation patterns. The proposed antenna consists of a u-shape ground plane and a teardrop-like radiation patch that can be replaced by an ellipse or a round.
