Wideband Photonic Microwave Downconversion Based On an Optoelectronic Oscillator for Uncompressed HD Video Distribution

本文验证了基于光电振荡器的宽带光子射频下转换技术,实现了载频10 GHz、码率大于2 Gb/s的信号下转换和有线无线传输。应用该技术,构建了高清视频有线无线传输论证和演示平台,实现了1.5 Gb/s无压缩高清视频信号传输的实时业务演示。

In this paper, we expermentally demonstrate a wideband photonic microwave downconversion system based on optoelectronic oscillator (OEO). The signal with a carrier frequency of 10 GHz and data rate ≥2 Gb/s is distributed via optical fiber and downconverted via the OEO. Based on the technology, a radio over fiber link for the real-time distribution of 1.5-Gb/s uncompressed HD video is constructed and demonstrated.
