Study on decay properties of unstable hadrons
一些不稳定强子态以非常快的速度衰变到两个强子末态。这篇文章估算了在这些初态强子存在的时间内两个末态强子可以远离对方的最大距离。这篇文章用PDG2012中的181个不稳定强子进行了计算。结果表明这个最远距离对很多强子来说都在1个费米左右,这和强子半径在同一数量级。这篇文章也用15个不稳定原子核进行了计算。结果表明这个距离对这些原子核来说在几个费米左右,这和原子核的半径在同一数量级。
Some unstable hadrons (resonances) mainly decay into two final states in a very short time. This paper estimates how far at most these two final states can travel away from each other in the half-life of the initial unstable hadron. As examples, this distance is about 2.5 fm for $ ho ightarrow pi pi$, 1.8 fm for $Delta ightarrow N pi$, and 0.6 fm for $f_0(500) ightarrow pi pi$. This paper calculates this distance for altogether 181 hadrons, among all the 324 ones listed in PDG2012. It is around one femtometer for many hadrons, which is of the same order of magnitude as the hadronic radii. This paper also estimates this distance for altogether 15 unstable nuclei. It is about several femtometers for some of them, which is of the same order of magnitude as the nuclear radii.
