he temperature distribution of the advanced pressure water reactors (APWR) with the different geometry reactors were computed by the finite volume method (FVM) in the unstructured grids. These reactors have asymmetrical heat resource distributions such as some triangle special functions. The zones of the highest temperature can be confirmed from the numerical simulation. The some results were comprised with the exact solutions. The computational results indicated that this numerical calculation method has a good credibility and can provide a useful reference for the nuclear engineering design and research.
