为了研究多模光纤中高次模式对液体折射率传感的影响,本文在现有传感理论的基础上,将多模光纤与布拉格光栅结合用于液体折射率传感,通过公式推导得出了传感灵敏度与模式间的关系,借助软件仿真模拟、从模式、芯径等角度对比分析了两种折射率分布的多模光纤传感特性,得到在液体折射率范围1.33~1.44内,越高次模式越有利于传感,并且纤芯直径的减小有助于灵敏度的提高。多模阶跃光纤依靠其在纤芯和液体界面处较强的倏逝波效应,具有优于渐变光纤的传感特性。

In this paper, in order to discuss the influence of high order modes in multimode optical fiber on liquid refractive index sensing, based on the current sensing theory, a structure combined multimode fiber with Bragg grating is used for liquid refractive index sensing, derived the relationship between the sensitivity and coremodes. In view of coremodes and core diameters,the paper compares and analyzes the sensing characteristics of two kinds of multi - mode fibers by simulation, higher order mode is more conducive to sensing and the sensitivity is increased when the core diameter decreased. Because of the strong evanescent wave effect at the core and liquid interface of multimode step fiber, it's superior to graded fiber sensing properties.
