his article describes the hardware and software design of serial communication system between PCmachine and AT89C51.The AT89C51 recives the datas that transmited by the pc. Compare some method ueded in Hardware interface electric circuit simplely.The system uses the MAX232 chip to realize the RS232 EIA level and the monolithic integrated circuit TTL level transformation，and introduce level switch chip MAX232 and the application method.
