本文给出了基于IEEE 802.11的WLAN体系架构,并基于分布式协作功能模块扩展出一种支持分片网络的握手机制,通过RTS/CTS实现快速的配置。文中分析了该交换机制对于网络的影响并给出在分片网络中设备的基础配置方法、接入点的功能范围和完整流程。为验证该方法的有效性,构建了一个WLAN仿真平台,并对于不同机制进行模拟和比较,仿真结果表明,该机制可以有效的减低接入延时抖动,同时在信道利用率和控制开销方面也具有很大的优势。
In this paper, the IEEE 802.11 standard based Wireless LAN (WLAN) is discussed. A extension of the distributed coordination function (DCF) is purposed and analysis, and the effect of using a fast configuring RTS/CTS exchange is studied. Based on that process, a fragmentation based mechanism is proposed. The process of infrastructure network configuration, the accessing point functionality and exchange procedure are also introduced. A simulation platform is developed to check the performance of this mechanism and make comparison between different strategies. The simulation result show that this mechanism can reduce the access delay variation significantly, also predominant in the aspect of controlling overhead.
