以间苯二酚和甲醛为反应物、六次甲基四胺HMTA为催化剂、去离子水为溶剂,所合成的间苯二酚-甲醛凝胶能够在常压条件下直接进行干燥得到有机气凝胶;并经炭化,得到炭气凝胶。在本文中,合适的反应物浓度和HMTA浓度等制备工艺条件被探索;利用TEM、N2吸附法以及压汞法等分析手段,炭气凝胶及其有机气凝胶的纳米网络结构被表征。实验结果表明:典型的炭气凝胶的孔径呈二元分布,分别为0.43纳米的微孔和200纳米的大孔,网络颗粒粒径约为100nm,BET比表面积高达750 m2/g,压汞法孔体积为2.27 cm3/g。HMTA浓度和反应物浓度可以控制网络结构;此外,凝胶的形成需要适当高的反应物浓度,但对HMTA浓度的要求不严格。有机气凝胶和炭气凝胶对极性溶剂的吸附量高于对非极性溶剂的吸附量;并且炭气凝胶对各种有机蒸气的吸附量明显高于有机气凝胶的吸附量。有机凝胶之所以能进行常压干燥,可能是因为毛细管附加压力的减小和网络骨架强度的提高。

With the addition of hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA), an ambient pressure drying technique was developed for the fabrication of resorcinol-formaldehyde-based carbon aerogels. The preparation conditions such as reagent content and HMTA content were explored, and the nano-structures of carbon aerogels and their precursory organic aerogels obtained were characterized by means of SEM, nitrogen adsorption and Mercury porosimetry. The representative carbon aerogels obtained here have a binary pore size distribution with 0.43nm micropore and 200nm macropore. Their interconnected particles size and BET surface area is about 100nm and 750 m2/g, respectively; and their pore volume measured by Mercury porosimetry is about 2.27 cm3/g. Both HMTA content and reagent content can affect the pore structure of the aerogels. Additionally, it is required that the reagent content should be high enough to form organic gel. For organic aerogel and carbon aerogels, the adsorption for the polar solvent vapours is higher than that for the unpolar solvent vapours. For various solvent vapours, the adsorption of carbon aerogels is higher than that of organic aerogels. The success of the ambient pressure drying technique in this study should be ascribed to the decrease in the capillary pressure and the increase in the strength of the network.
