Graphene-microfiber has been hailed as a wonderful waveguide in optics with the advantage of graphene material and the microfiber. A introduction to the graphene-microfiber has been presented here. We introducted the effecct of graphene on the evanscent filed of the microfiber, and reviewed the recent progress of its on fiber laser. With the developement of nanotechnology, graphene-microfiber could offer new possibilities for future optics devices, systems and networks.
