基于MapObjects的位图符号的设计及应用

空间信息的可视化在知识发现中表现出重要的作用,合理的可视化方法有利于对信息的理解以及挖掘信息内部包含的规律、模式。空间数据组织上通常有栅格和矢量两种格式,两种格式在空间信息可视化方面有不同的特点。本文从空间信息可视化的角度考虑,从技术上探讨用栅格位图表示矢量点的方法。通过扩展MapObjects的点状符号,以位图的形式显示点所表达的地物,实验证明这种方式有利于点空间信息的表达。
Spatial Information Visualization play an important role in knowledge discovery, appropriate visualization methods contribute a lot for understanding the spatial information and mine essential laws and patterns. Spatial data often exit with either pixel or vector format or both formats, each of the formats has different characteristic in spatial information visualization. This paper, from the point of view of spatial information visualization, proposes a method that using bitmap to present point objects. This method is based on the ESRI MapObjects by implement MapObjects’ ICustomMarker interface. Experimentation shows this symbol benefits displaying point information.
