摘要

目前的通信技术已经接近香农物理容量极限,而随着人工智能技术与无线通信技术的发展以及人工智能在传统通信技术向未来演进的过程中扮演着越来越重要的角色。语义通信逐渐受到研究者的关注,其工作原理是"语义-意义传递",其核心是在发送方提取发送信息的"含义",并借助发送方和接收方之间匹配的知识库,在接收方成功"解读"语义信息。因此,语义通信本质上是一种主要基于人工智能的通信方案。本文将对语义通信的相关理论进行概述,并将其与传统通信进行比较。之后探讨了语义通信面临的挑战以及在未来可能的应用。

Abstract

The current communication technology has approached the limit of Shannon\'s physical capacity. With the development of artificial intelligence technology and wireless communication technology, artificial intelligence plays an increasingly important role in the evolution of traditional communication technology to the future. Semantic communication has gradually attracted the attention of researchers, and its working principle is "semantic-meaning transmission". Its core is to extract the "meaning" of the sent information from the sender, and successfully "interpret" the semantic information from the receiver with the help of the matching knowledge base (KB) between the sender and the receiver. Therefore, semantic communication is essentially a communication scheme based mainly on artificial intelligence. This article will give an overview of the relevant theories of semantic communication and compare them with traditional communication. After that, the challenges faced by semantic communication and its possible applications in the future are discussed.
