ime behavior of field screening effects in GaAs photoconductive antenna as a terahertz emitter
为研究砷化镓光导天线作为太赫兹发射器时的场筛选效应的时间特性,使用了泵浦探测太赫兹产生技术。测量了由探测激光脉冲激发的太赫兹脉冲峰值幅度,它是关于泵浦探测时间延迟时间的函数。利用了一个等效电路模型来模拟实验,基于模拟与实验的良好吻合,得到了辐射和空间电荷场的时间特性。结果显示,在整个过程中,空间电荷场筛选对于设备响应起到决定性的作用,而辐射场筛选在初始时刻起着关键作用。另外,还进行了参数分析,这对太赫兹发射器的天线设计有很大的价值。
he field screening effects in small-size GaAs photoconductive antenna are investigated via the well-known pump and probe terahertz (THz) generation technique. The peak amplitude of the THz pulses excited by the probe laser pulse as a function of the pump-probe time delay is measured. An equivalent-circuit model is used to simulate the experimental data. Based on the good agreement between the simulation and experiment, the time behavior of the radiation and space-charge fields is simulated. The results show that the space-charge screening dominantly determines the device response in the whole time, while the radiation filed screening plays a key role in initial time which strongly affects the peak THz field. The parameter analysis is performed, which may be valuable on the optimum design for the antenna as a THz emitter.
