With the modern technology application in the traditional Chinese medicine research, its chemical composition is in-depth analysed, the main physiologically active substances are flavonoids and polysaccharides compounds. Pharmacological studies have shown that the anti-atherosclerotic role of the Scutellaria barbata active ingredient is mainly achieved through the regulation of lipid metabolism reaction and the elimination of the inflammatory response. The research on the mechanism of the Scutellaria barbata main active ingredient extract in anti-atherosclerosis is to provide the basis for further drug research and development.
