变形监测的结果是得到变形体相对于其初始状态的变化,对于小范围的监测工作,其位移的计算可以不依赖于统一曲面,即与参考椭球和大地水准面无关,因此也就与许多测量因素无关,例如垂线偏差、地球曲率、基准点的精度等,而只与少数必要观测值有关,因此使得变形监测工作简单高效,并获得高精度的监测结果。本方法适合于在固定基准点上对变形体直接进行周期性变形监测,并且平面位移监测可以采用任意二维直角坐标系,垂直位移监测可以任意水平面为基准面。
