his paper describe the principle of 8B10B encoder and decoder in Fiber Transmission System. First of all, this design is using looking up table combine with logic gate and designed a simple and efficient scheme through analysing the principle characteristics of encoding and decoding. Second, RTL code is made by VHDL and is simulated in ISE. Results are verificied and analyzed.At last the code is generated into the configured test and implementing in the FPGA.
