Influence of the local lattice distortion on the magnetic ordering of the Heusler alloy Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 film

本文通过磁控溅射与原位真空退火,制备了一系列的Heusler合金Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 (CFAS),退火温度分别为350oC, 450oC, 550o和 650oC。利用XRD, 变温拉曼实验和SQUID等实验测量,探讨CFAS薄膜中结构与磁有序度之间的相互联系和影响。XRD的结果表明随着退火温度的增加,CFAS薄膜的晶化与化学有序度加强。从拉曼谱中我们可以观测到显著的与L21相相关联的拉曼振动模式。在843cm-1处的拉曼振动模式展现出很强的温度依赖性,而且随着退火温度的增加,该振动模式强度增强。另一方面,SQUID磁性测量结果表明,随着退火温度的增加,样品的饱和磁化强度增强,矫顽力减小。这些结构与磁性测量的结果表明,结晶度与化学有序度对CFAS薄膜的磁性有重要影响作用。但是,拉曼振动模式的变化表明与L21相相关的局域晶格畸变并不是磁无序的起源因素。

series of Heusler alloy Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 (CFAS) thin film on MgO(100) substrate have been fabricated by magnetron sputtering with In-situ annealing process at temperature (350oC, 450oC, 550oC and 650oC), respectively. XRD, temperature-dependent Raman and SQUID measurements have been performed to clarify the interplay between the structure and magnetic properties of the CFAS films. The XRD results reveal that both the crystallization and chemical ordering of the CFAS films are enhanced by the increasing annealing temperature. From the Raman spectroscopy, the representative Raman-active modes associated with L2 phase can be observed. The Raman mode at 843 cm-1 shows strong temperature dependence behavior, which has an obvious increase in intensity with the increasing of the annealing tempertuare as well. On the other hand, the increasing saturation magnetization and decreasing coercivity of the CFAS films with the increasing annealing temperature can be found by the SQUID measurement. These structural and magnetic results of the CFAS films demonstrate the crystallization and chemical ordering play an important role in the magnetic property. However, the variation of the Raman mode suggests that the local lattice distortion associated with the L21 phase can not be considered as the origin of the magnetic disordering.
