In the 3GPP Rel.11, High Speed Railway (HSR) scenario has recently aroused extensive attention. Generally, user under this condition will confront much more problems than that in the traditional cellular network with normal speed, such as over-frequent handover, Doppler spread and radio link abrupt changes. Mobile relay with distributed antenna system is a promising combination solution to settle these issues. In this paper, a high speed scenario based on mobile relay integrated with distributed antenna system (MRDAS) is presented to analyze the performance of LTE Advanced network on High Speed Railway. In addition, an improved handover scheme based on MRDAS is proposed. Numerous simulation results have witness the increase in handover success ratio and decrease in radio link failure ratio, especially in large cell size scenario, which can greatly reduce the cost of network deployment with satisfied QoS. Meanwhile, the proposed scheme improves train user throughput as well as system throughput to a certain extent.
