he computation of the hydropower generation is a necessarily tool that used widely in All engineering branches and especially hydraulic engineering, and its necessity come from the demand of electricity on our daily life. On this paper the computation of hydropower generating was studied by using Genetic algorithm. To apply the computation they is required program was used to obtain data that were collected from zhelin reservoir in china from 1973 to 2008. After all the computed data were confirmed as the observed data were similar to the estimated ones. The average hydropower generation is 53.88 Gw monthly for the zhelin reservoir.
