研究小旋转椭球粒子群旋转轴的空间取向呈正态分布情况下后向散射截面,计算并分析后向散射截面随分布方差、期望及波长的变化特征,以便为微波大气传输研究、大气微波遥感,尤其是改善天气雷达定量测量降水的精确度,提供依据
Back-scatterring cross section of poly-dispersed small spheroid particles are studied under the condition that the distribution of their rotatory axes is Gaussian. The numerical method for integration is used for calculation of back-scatterring cross-sections as a function of distribution parameters. The results obtained for zero-variance and unlimited variance are consistent with references for identical distribution and uniform distribution, respectively. The relations of the attenuation cross section with wave length and distribution parameters such as expectation are also studied. The results are useful for modeling atmospheric radiative transfer and improving microwave remote sensing of clouds and precipitation.
