his paper provides a implementation of serial port communication between C8051F340 and PC on PC side. Through the VC++ programming, with API to achieve serial communication, and through XMODEM protocol for date transmission, we can comlete the update date and system upgrade from the PC to the C8051F340. The paper details the realization of serial port communication through the API with VC++, and gives XMODEM protocol used by the process.
