IP多媒体子系统（IMS）是实现网络融合和业务融合的核心标准，它能够提供多种形式的IP业务，符合通信网络融合的大趋势，将成为下一代网络的核心控制体系和结构。服务质量（QoS）是通信网络融合的关键所在。IMS采取有效的控制机制保证多媒体业务的服务质量。本文从IMS服务质量的概念出发，分析研究了IMS中基于策略的QoS架构和QoS控制机制，并详细介绍了IMS中QoS服务模型──综合服务模型和区分服务模型。
IP multimedia subsystem(IMS) is the core standard of realizing network convergence and service convergence. It can provide multifarious forms of IP service, according with the general trend of the convergence of communications network, and will become the central control system and framework of next generation network. Qos is the key point of the convergence of communications network. IMS adopts effective control mechanism to ensure the QoS of multimedia service. This paper begins with the concept of IMS QoS, puts more attention in analyzing and studying the QoS architecture and the control mechanism of QoS, then particularly presents the QoS service models in IMS──IntServ model and Diffserv model.
