Excited states of the doubly-odd 130Cs have been investigated via the 124Sn(10B; 4n) and 124Sn(11B; 5n) fusion-evaporation reactions at beam energies of 47 and 58 MeV, respectively. In addition to the previously known high-lying bands, a great deal of low-lying states near the ground state have been identified for the first time. In particular, based on the observation of some new critical linking transitions, the excitaton energy for the (h11/2)p+(h11/2)n band is firrmly determined, allowing a more rigirous spin parity assignment for this band. The excitation energy systematics of (h11/2)+(h11/2)n yrast bands of odd-odd isotopes 118-132Cs is reinvestigated. Discrepancy between the spin assignments for 120,122Cs and 130Cs is briey discussed.
