低熔点PTT聚酯的合成和非等温结晶性能研究
Synthesis and non-isothermal crystallization behaviors of poly (trimethylene terephthalate isophthalate-co-polyethylene glycol)
本文采用间苯二甲酸和聚乙二醇(PEG)对聚对苯二甲酸丙二醇酯(PTT)进行改性,得到了熔点低且具有一定可纺性的新型低熔点PTT聚酯(PTTI-PEG)。首先,在PTT聚合中加入间苯二甲酸制得一系列PTT聚酯(PTTI),并考察了对苯二甲酸和间苯二甲酸不同摩尔比对其熔点的影响。差示扫描量热仪(DSC)分析结果显示,PTTI的熔点随着间苯二甲酸含量的增加而逐渐降低,但是结晶性能变差而无法满足纺丝的要求。为此,在缩聚过程中再加入PEG以改善共聚物的结晶性能,制备得到了PTTI-PEG。DSC分析结果表明PEG的加入能够显著提高共聚物PTTI-PEG的结晶度,热重分析(TG)则显示PTTI-PEG的热稳定性可以满足熔融纺丝加工的要求,1H-NMR分析显示PTTI-PEG谱图中含有间苯二甲酸苯环氢和PEG氢的峰。本文采用DSC进一步对共聚物的非等温结晶性能进行研究,结果表明PTTI-PEG的成核机理是异相成核,并且结晶活化能较高,这说明PTTI-PEG结晶对温度比较敏感,因此在纺丝过程中控制温度至关重要。
Isophthalic acid (IPA) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) were used to modify poly(trimethylene terephthalate) to obtain a novel copolyester with low melting point and spinnability, poly(trimethylene terephthalate isophthalate-co-polyethylene glycol) (PTTI-PEG). The effects of different molar ratios of IPA to TPA on the melting temperature (Tm) of poly(trimethylene terephthalate-co-trimethylene isophthalate) (PTTI) were investigated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The experimental results indicated that the crystallinity and the melting temperature obviously decreased with the molar ratio of IPA to TPA increasing. In order to improve the crystallinity, PEG units were imported at the polycondensation stage to obtain PTTI-PEG. DSC showed that PEG can improve the crystallinity. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) illuminated the thermostability of PTTI-PEG was too enough to meet with the need of melt-spinning. The peaks of hydrogen atoms ascribed to the corresponding peaks of IPA and PEG in 1H-NMR. The non-isothermal crystallization behaviors of PTT, PTTI and PTTI-PEG were investigated by DSC, so it was assumed that the non-isothermal crystallization mechanism for PTT and PTTI was the combination of homogenous and heterogeneous nucleation. The activation energy of PTTI-PEG was high, suggesting that the crystallization rate was more sensitive to the temperature. Therefore, it was of great importance to control the temperature in spinning process.
