Numerical Simulating Electric-Magnetic Fields in Liquid Metal Limiter Using Commercial Software ANSYS

利用ANSYS商业软件,数值模拟一种新型液态金属(GaInSn)故障电流限流器中的电场和电磁力情况。采用有限元方法(FEM)对液态金属进行三维数值计算,并对结果进行了研究分析。为将来研发故障电流限制器提供有价值的借鉴并节约了时间。

he magnetic potential distribution and magnetic forces of a new fault current limiter of power system were calculated using the commercial software ANSYS. The current limiter was filled with the liquid metal (GaInSn).The three dimensional fields simulating method of magneto-fluid in the current limiter was presented with the Finite Element Method (FEM). The results and solutions were studied and analyzed. As a result, the simulation method can be useful and save the time and investment fee for developing and designing the current limiter in the future.
