Lacosamide is a new kind of drug in the treatment of epilepsy and neuropathic pain with anticonvulsant and analgesic dual functions. It can selectively enhance slow inactivation of voltage-gated sodium channels and interacts with collapsin response mediator protein-2(CRMP-2), which may slow or even prevent seizures and relieve diabetic neuropathic pain. This article mainly introduced this kind of epilepsy drug, comprehensively listed and analysed the synthesis routes of it according to the different raw materials.
