姜黄素调节转录因子抗肿瘤机制
Mechanisms of curcumin targets transcription factors regulatory molecules
姜黄素是从姜黄属的姜黄中提取的一种多酚类物,研究表明姜黄素具有抗菌抗病毒、促进伤口愈合,抗炎,免疫调节等药理作用,特别是抗肿瘤作用,因此日益受到广泛的关注。肿瘤的发生发展大多因基因变异而产生,大量研究表明姜黄素具有抗肿瘤作用,其机制复杂,本文从姜黄素调节转录因子这一角度阐述其抗肿瘤机理,姜黄素是一极有可能成为具有临床应用价值的抗癌药物。
bstract Curcumin is a polyphenol derived from Curcuma longa. Over the last few years, a number of studies have provided evidence of its main pharmacological properties including, wound healing activities, antimicrobial, antiviral, immunomodulatory, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. More recent data provide interesting insights into the effect of this compound on cancer prevention and therapy. Most human malignancies are driven by chromosomal translocations or other genetic alterations. Extensive research has addressed the therapeutic potential of curcumin, a relatively non-toxic plant. The mechanisms implicated are diverse and appear to involve a combination of cell signaling pathways at multiple levels. In the present review we discuss how curcumin targets transcription factors regulatory molecules to assert anti-proliferative and/or apoptotic effects in cancer cells. Taken together, this review seeks to summarize the unique properties of curcumin that may be exploited for successful clinical cancer prevention.
