台风“梅花”的地震信号特征分析及其对小尺度地球圈层耦合的启示

通过对2011年东海海域发生的台风 "梅花"在3个宽频地震台站激发的地震信号特征进行分析,我们发现微地震频段受台风影响最大,而地球背景自由振荡以及高频P波噪音频段则不受台风影响。通过与以往对南海台风的地震信号特征研究进行对比后发现,台风引发的小尺度圈层耦合不仅与海岸线、海底地形、台风路径和传播方向有关,而且与海水深度有关;由于东海水深远远小于南海且海底地形平缓,在微地震频段优势激发方向为垂向而不是南海的水平方向。而高频噪音的优势激发方向与南海一致为水平方向,这与其激发源为近岸海风有关,因而不受深海水深和海底地形的影响。高频噪音呈现了明显的以天为周期的周期性,这与其受周期为天的海陆风的影响较大有关。最后我们发现台风与陆地直接耦合的能量传递效率可能不如通过海洋与陆地直接耦合的高。
In this paper we investigate the seismic characteristics of the 2011 Typhoon "Muifa" on 3 broadband seismic stations. We find that the landing of ocean storms directly influences spectrum amplitudes of microseisms, showing an "increase-peak-decrease" pattern, whereas they exert no direct influence on Earth's hum and the high-frequency noise. Compared with our previous study on ocean storms in South China Sea, we found that that the coupling of ocean-continent is not only affected by local coastlines, bathymetry, paths of storms, landing directions, but also the water depth. As the ocean floor of East China Sea is flat, not as steep as that of South China Sea, and the water depth is shallow, the seismic motions for microseisms are excited more efficiently in vertical directions instead of horizontal directions shown in South China Sea. However, high-frequency noise is excited more efficiently in horizontal directions, the same as observed in South China Sea. This is because its source is local offshore wind, not influenced much by water depth and the bathymetry. High-frequency noise shows one-day periodicity, as its source is influenced greatly by the solar wind which has one-day periodicity. Lastly, we find that the energy may be passed more efficiently through ocean-continent than atmosphere-continent.
