To the require of that wireless is necessary for the transmission media of home network in the future, wireless communication can make up the disadvantages of the traditional meter reading system in the convenience, shortcut and cheapness is point out, many outstanding advantages of GPRS transmission mode is analyzed, and automatic meter reading system based on GPRS is designed. The core of the system design and realize of data transmission module is discussed particularly.
