Supercontinuum Generation in Normal Dispersion Photonic Crystal Fiber

We present an all-fiber system for supercontiuum generation in normal dispersion photonic crystal fiber. Spectral broadening has been observed,and supercontinuum generation with a 20-dB spectral width of over 240 nm at 1550 nm has been achieved. Based on generalized nonlinear Schr?dinger equation we simulate the supercontinuum generation numerically and find the soliton fission does not play an important role in the normal dispersion regime.
