本文对JPEG2000的核心部分——小波编码进行了FPGA硬件实现的研究,提出了一种基于“内嵌边界延拓提升小波变换”快速算法的硬件结构,无需对输入数据进行预处理,在关键路径上加入流入寄存器,提高了硬件利用率和运算速率。运用VHDL语言在XiLinx公司Spartan3E系列XC3S250E上实现了本文提出的硬件电路,并用EDA工具进行了仿真和综合,仿真结果表明设计正确,具有很好的性能。

his paper focus on hardware implementation of wavelet transform which is the core of JPEG 2000 , and presents a hardware structure based on combining the date – extension procedure into the lifting – based DWT core ,and avoids the pre-processing data ; insert registers into critical path to improve the hardware utilization and computational speed . The whole design is written in VHDL, and it is fulfilled in the Xilinx Spartab3E series FPGA XC3S250E, and synthesized it by EDA tools. The simulation shows the design is right and the performance is perfect.
