here were 48 schools recruiting medical students in Hebei province in May 2009. There were 39 independently setted medical schools in total. 6 of them were colleges, the other 33 were secondary specialized schools. 39 schools had 11808 teaching staffs, 7438 full-time teachers and 1268 part-time teachers, 8056520 square meters of schoolhouse, 3034081 square meters of building area, instrumentation of 67974.14 million RMB yuan, 5901174 books. Some schools was not conforming to the provision in the scale of the schools, teacher resources, schoolhouse, instrumentation or books according to Basic School Running Conditions Instructions of Common Higher School (trial) or Standard for Establishment of Medium Health Schools. In order to fundamentally solve the problem of higher and medium medical schools in Hebei Province, we must adjust school setting; promote the construction of teachers' professional level; improve school running conditions and the utilization of education resources; strengthening construction of laboratory and clinical teaching base.
