可调谐双波长掺Yb3+光纤激光器的实验研究
Experimental study of the tunable dual-wavelength Yb3+ doped fiber laser
对基于非线性偏振旋转技术的可调谐双波长光纤激光器进行了研究。调节偏振控制器可以实现激光器的可调谐双波长输出,光谱范围覆盖1026 nm-1065 nm,由双波长等幅输出和非等幅输出两部分组成。并且结合实验结果对激光器的输出功率特性和调谐特性做出了合理的解释,实验表明双波长的相对输出功率是受Yb光纤的增益曲线和激光器滤波机理共同决定的,另外泵浦功率的变化对激光器的滤波特性影响较明显,主要是因为光纤中的自相位调制(SPM)和交叉相位调制(XPM)也随泵浦功率发生了改变,进而影响了信号光的偏振态演化。
tunable dual-wavelength fiber laser based on nonlinear polarization rotation technique is studied. A Polarization controller is used to adjust the tunable laser dual-wavelength output, which covers the spectral range of 1026 nm-1065 nm, and comprises of two parts: the equal-amplitude output and the unequal-amplitude output. Moreover, a reasonable explanation is made about the output power and tuning characteristics of the laser in combination with the experimental results. Experiments show that the relative dual-wavelength output power is determined by Yb fiber laser gain curve and the filtering mechanism, experimental results also show that the changes in pump power have obvious influence on the filtering properties of the laser, which is mainly due to fiber self-phase modulation (SPM) and cross-phase modulation (XPM) change with the pump power, which in turn affect the polarization evolution of the signal light.
