ickless技术的研究及其在嵌入式系统中的实现

ickless机制是Linux内核中引入的新定时机制,这一机制能够降低系统开销,并为高精度定时提供了实现基础。本文将对这一机制的原理进行分析,归纳出基本模型,最后提出一种全新的具有一定普遍适用性的tickless实现方法。测试结果表明,这一新方法能够降低嵌入式系统能耗并提高操作系统定时精度。

ickless is a new timing mechanism which was introduced in Linux kernel. This mechanism can reduce system overhead and provide basis for high resolution timer. In this paper, the principle of this mechanism will be analyzed and the basic model of tickless will be summed up. Finally, a new realization method for tickless is proposed. The test results show that the new method can reduce the energy consumption of embedded system and improve the accuracy of OS timer.
