计算机系统能耗模型的研究
Survey of Computer System Power Model
随着信息行业的快速发展,通信网络和设备消耗了大量的能量,节能减排工作日渐提上日程,许多的能量节能策略也相继提出。然而,评价节能策略的有效性和监控设备的能耗都需要对能耗有着数量上的认识。依赖于测量设备能快速准确的测量系统的能耗,但这种方法从经济上和部署上都是行不通的,尤其像是服务器集群等。比较可行的方法之一是对系统的能耗进行建模,并基于建立的能耗模型准确估测系统的能耗。本文综述现有计算机系统能耗模型,并分类介绍这些能耗模型,最后做出展望。
With the rapid development of information industry, communication networks and devices consume a lot of energy, energy conservation is become more and more important, and many energy saving strategies have been proposed. However, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the energy strategy and monitoring equipment need to quantitatively understand the power consumption of systems. Using measurement devices can quickly and accurately get the power consumption of the system. But this approach is not financially feasible, especially in large server farms etc. One of the feasible methods is to model the system's power consumption, and accurately estimate the power based on the power model. This paper reviews the current computer system power model, and classifies introduction these energy consumption model, and finally make a prospect.
