his systematic review summarizes that microtubules impact on the furrows in cytokinesis. Microtubules play an important role in the cytokinesis, particularly position the cleavage furrow and interact with the cell cortex at the site of furrowing. Cytokinesis occurs in the mitosis telophase, while during anaphase cells have begun to form a contractile ring. Stable microtubules can position the cleavage furrow. Before the mitosis anaphase, taxol-stabilized microtubules can act to position the furrow and loss of microtuble dynamics deplays the timing of furrow onset and prevents completion. Stable microtubules can postpone the time of furrow initiation,but did not perturb furrow positioning. Microtubles have, simultaneously, opposite effect,with stable microtubules boosting, and dynamically unstable microtubules suppressing cortical activation during anaphase/telophase. We conclude that stable and dynamic microtubules coordinately shape the myosin activation zone during cytokinetic furrow formation.
