Organizational Modularity, Knowledge Base and Innovation Performance: An Empirical Research with Dynamic Capabilities as a Mediated Variable

本文从目前国内的自主创新能力研究中经常陷入"能力解释能力"的困境入手,建立起了以动态能力为中介变量的组织模块性和知识基础影响企业创新绩效的路径模型,并以我国的高技术企业为样本,分析了这些变量之间的关系及其影响路径模型。实证结果表明,动态能力是企业创新活动的能力基础,而组织模块性和知识基础分别是企业动态能力的结构基础和认知基础,动态能力在组织模块性和创新绩效、知识基础和创新绩效之间具有中介作用。

Based on the reality that current researches on independent innovation capability often fall into the dilemma "explaining capabilities with capabilities", this paper built a path model in which organizational modularity and knowledge base impact innovation performance through dynamic capabilities, and analyzed the relationship between these variables and the path model with a sample of high technology companies. The empirical results show that the dynamic abilities are the capacity foundation of firm's innovation activities, and organizational modularity and knowledge base are the structural foundation and knowledge foundation of dynamic capabilities, dynamic capabilities plays mediating roles between organizational modularity and innovation performance, knowledge base and innovation performance.
