无信号环岛交通流建模，第一部分：模型的建立
Modeling Traffic Flow at Unsignalized Roundabouts, partⅠ: Model Formulation
因为环岛内的交通只有合流、分流以及交织冲突，而这一现象与高速公路上的交通极其类似，所以本文将无信号控制环岛看作是一条短的环型高速公路。这样的思路使我们能够将那些已经成功运用于高速公路交通流的模型用于建模环岛交通流。本文作为我们建模无信号控制环岛交通流研究的第一部分，主要致力于数学建模，而关于模型的统一和数值解的讨论，将放在第二部分。
Since there are only merging and diverging operations at a roundabout, which is the same as on freeways, this paper treats an unsignalized roundabout as a short ring "freeway." This methodology of roundabout flow treatment enables us to make the best of those models and algorithms already developed for freeway traffic analysis. As the first part of modeling traffic flow at signal-free roundabouts, this paper devotes itself to model formulation. While in the second part, we will discuss the uniformity and numerical solution of the formulated models.
