纳米金颗粒表面等离子增强金刚石NV色心发光研究
Fluorescence enhancement of NV centres in nanodiamond attached to gold nanoparticles
随着量子信息技术的发展,人们发现对单光子发光特性的操控至关重要。通过与纳米金颗粒产生的表面等离子体的耦合,纳米金刚石中单个NV色心的荧光强度得到了极大增强。实验结果表明通过与纳米金属天线的耦合,单量子系统周围的局域场发生改变,纳米金刚石中NV色心的吸收截面增大,有效降低了激发饱和功率。与没有表面等离子体增强的NV色心相比,单光子荧光的信噪比提高了3倍,达到27.8:1,NV色心的量子发射特性保持不变。
Modification on the emission characteristics of single photon emitters is of crucial importance for growing field of quantum technologies. We show that fluorescence intensity of a single nitrogen vacancy centre (NV) in diamond nanocrystal was enhanced by attaching it to gold nanoparticles. Our results demonstrate an enhanced absorption cross section of colour center coupled to metallic nanoantenna. The observed signal to background ratio (S/B) was increased about three-fold to 27.8:1, comparing the data from the nanodiamond without gold particle attached.
