基于Maemo平台的图书馆信息检索系统的设计与实现

Library is a very important channel for people to get information, but it is not an easy task to find the literature they need in the vast sea of books. The traditional way is Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). We find books via this method and then look through the shelves using call number one by one which is obviously very inefficient. Computer, internet and mobile communication technology provide us a lot of space to solve this problem. In this paper a novel design and implementation of library information retrieval system is porposed, so that the readers will be able to retrieve books via smart phone. The system can also locate the indoor position of readers and the shelves containing the books needed. The route from the reader to the bookshelf can be generated on the smart phone and lead the reader to find the appropriate shelves. This design greatly improves the efficiency of finding literature for readers.
