he contents and the distribution of soil Se of tea plantations were studied in 5 tea development zones of Meitan county. The results show that soil total Se contents in Meitan were higher larger amplitude as a whole, which the mean was 0.28 ± 0.01 mgokg-1, and soil available Se mean was 0.028 ± 0.001 mgokg-1. Meanwhile, soil available Se content was significantly positive correlation with soil pH, organic matter content and total Se. In addition, the contents of effective soil selenium in Mashan Town, Yongxing Town, Xihe Town were higher, but total selenium activation rates were lower. Therefore, soil effective selenium had a good foundation and larger room, which was suitable for the development of selenium-enriched tea.
