基于TFT-LCD源驱动芯片的大负载Gamma buffer的设计实现
Gamma buffer design base on TFT-LCD source driver heavy loading
FT-LCD(薄膜晶体管液晶显示器)是当今平板显示器中发展最快、技术最成熟、应用领域潜力最广的新一代产品。LCD面板驱动电路包括TFT源极(SOURCE)和栅极(GATE)驱动芯片。Gamma电压的主要功能就是给源驱动芯片提供各灰阶电压,通过输出缓冲器给液晶显示屏充放电。当前主流是在PCB上添加一颗集成了多个gamma buffer的芯片来产生gamma电压。本文的设计是将gamma buffer集成在源驱动芯片内部,从而达到降低整体功耗,减少系统面积,降低制造成本的目的。
FT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) is the newest generation product which has fastest growing, maturest technology, and widest application in current flat panel displays. TFT-LCD panel driving chip can be divided into source driver chip and gate driver chip. The main function of gamma voltage is providing separately gray scale voltage for the source driver chip, charging and discharging to the liquid crystal display through the output buffer. Today's main technology is adding an integrated chip with several gamma buffer on the PCB. This paper's design is the gamma buffer which embedded in the source driver chip. And this design can reduce the overall power consumption, system area, and manufacturing cost .
