In commonly , Ad Hoc network using plane structure .But,when the scale of Network is very big and need the sustenance of Quality of Service, it using hierarchical structure . Clustering is a mechanism that divides nodes into several logic independent groups. The hierarchical structure resulted from applying clustering algorithm in Ad Hoc is very useful for improving overall performance of network. At First , this paper introduces the composition of clustering algorithm and the standard of evaluating performance of clustering algorithm , analyzes and compares several typical clustering algorithms , and summarizes the existing problems.
