基于多普勒天气雷达风场信息的雷达回波外推预报研究

本文综合应用多普勒雷达径向速度资料和反射率因子资料对雷达回波进行外推预报。采用速度方位显示方法和交叉相关算法得到3km高度上的水平风场,并以此作为雷达回波的移动矢量,对3km高度的CAPPI(Constant Altitude Plan Position Indicating,等高平面位置显示)反射率因子进行30分钟的外推。通过研究2010年7月12日江苏南京地区的一次典型大范围降水天气过程比较两种外推方法在不同外推时次和不同降水量级下的预报准确度,得出结论:两种方法外推预报的结果均与实况吻合度较高,且随着外推时间推移,两种方法的预报准确度均会下降,但在外推后期VAD方法效果更好。另外,两种方法对于小雨的探测能力均比较突出。

In this paper, Doppler radar radial velocity data and reflectivity factor data are used to conduct radar echo extrapolation. We retrieved the horizontal wind fields at the height of 3km by VAD (velocity azimuth display) method and TREC(tracking radar echo by correlation) method, then used them as the motion vectors of echoes to make the extrapolated forecast in 30 minutes of CAPPI(constant altitude plan position indicating) reflectivity factor at the height of 3km. By comparing the accuracy of extrapolated forecast in different extrapolation times and different precipitations by the two methods in a typical rainfall process in Nanjing, 2010, we have got the conclusion: the results which is forecasted by the VAD method and TREC method coincided well with observation. At the same time we have found that the accuracy of extrapolated forecast tend to decline with the increase of the extrapolation time in these two methods, and the VAD method is more accurate in later period of extrapolation. In addition, the abilities of sounding of these two methods are both more outstanding in low precipitation.
