在冷轧带钢表面缺陷的在线检测过程中,带钢表面图像的滤波十分重要。一方面通过滤波可以消除数字图像中不必要的纹理背景信息,另一方面滤波的好坏直接影响到后续图像处理和分析的结果。因未能很好地滤除纹理背景造成无法准确地检测到图像的缺陷,是目前带钢表面图像滤波过程中存在的主要问题之一。本文针对该问题提出了一种基于小波的各向异性扩散图像滤波方法,该方法首先通过小波分解得到图像的低频和高频分量,然后针对高频分量采用小波扩散系数对小波系数进行正则化处理,最后进行小波逆变换重构滤波后图像。实验结果表明该方法不仅能够有效地滤除不必要的纹理背景信息,而且能够较好地保留图像的细节信息,具有更好的综合性能,为带钢表面缺陷在线检测系统中的后续处理,如图像边缘检测、图像自动分割等奠定了基础。

Steel strip image filtering plays quite significant role in steel strip surface defects online detection system. On one hand, unnecessary texture background in digital images could be removed by filtering. On the other hand, filtering effects would directly affect the following image processing and analysis. The defects cannot be detected correctly is one of the most serious problems existing in current steel strip surface defects online detection system. This may result from texture background of the image which hasn’t been filtered effectively. Aiming to solve this problem, a novel wavelet-based anisotropic diffusion image filter method has been proposed. Firstly, the original image is decomposed into the low frequency and high frequency components by wavelet transform. Then, the high frequency components are regularized by wavelet diffusion coefficients. Finally, the filtered image is reconstructed by taking the inverse wavelet transform. To achieve a satisfactory filtering result, wavelet-based anisotropic diffusion is often performed iteratively. Experimental results indicate that this new approach could not only filter the unnecessary texture background but also preserve valuable detail information effectively. With more favorable filtering combination properties, this approach will lay a solid foundation for the following image processing, e.g. image edge detection, image auto-segment, etc.
