Estimation and analysis of the air-sea heat fluxes during tropical cyclone “Lingling”

利用遥感资料结合再分析资料,基于COARE3.0算法,对2001年热带气旋"玲玲"期间海-气界面热通量进行了估算与分析。结果表明:热带气旋期间海-气界面热通量以潜热通量为主;在海洋暖涡与冷涡区域,热通量受SST影响较大。暖涡的存在,导致热通量的升高,为热带气旋提供了大量的热能,将有利于热带气旋的发展和维持;而冷涡的存在,降低了热通量,特别是感热通量明显下降。在近海面,以海洋释放潜热、大气吸收潜热为主;在对流层中上层,以大气释放潜热为主。

Based on the remote sensing data combined with reanalysis data, and the COARE3.0 algorithm, the air-sea interface heat fluxes were estimated and analyzed during the 2001 tropical cyclone "Lingling". The results show that: the air-sea interface heat flux is mainly in latent heat flux during tropical cyclones; the heat flux is more influenced by the sea surface temperature in the warm eddy and cold eddy regions. The existence of the warm eddy, resulting in the increase of heat flux for providing a large number of heat energy to tropical cyclone, will be conducive to the development and maintenance of tropical cyclones. The existence of the cold eddy, reducing the heat flux, so the sensible heat flux significantly decreases in particular. In the near ocean surface, the ocean releases latent heat, while the atmosphere mainly absorbs latent heat. In the upper troposphere, the atmosphere mainly releases latent heat.
